How to Download a ScratchJr Project from Google Drive

You can download ScratchJr projects that have been saved on Google Drive to your ScratchJr.
Please try downloading ScratchJr projects created by your teacher or friends onto your tablet and remixing them.

How to Download ScratchJr Projects from Google Drive

STEP.1
Launch Google Drive
Tap on the icon to launch Google Drive.
Note: If you have not installed Google Drive, please refer to the ‘How to Install Google Drive‘ guide to install it.

STEP.2
Launch ScratchJr
If ScratchJr is not already running, tap on the icon to launch ScratchJr.
STEP.3
Press the iPad Home Button
Once ScratchJr has launched, press the home button on your iPad to return to Google Drive.

Note: At this point, do not close ScratchJr. Keep it running in the background. If you close ScratchJr, you will not be able to download ScratchJr projects. Pressing the home button on your iPad will not close ScratchJr.

STEP.4
Select the Project You Want to Download
Once Google Drive is open, tap the button on the right side of the ScratchJr project you want to download.
STEP.5
Select “Open in”
When the drop-down menu appears, select .
STEP.6
Select the ScratchJr Icon
Tap the icon.
STEP.7
Download Complete
The ScratchJr project you downloaded will be added to the ScratchJr home screen.

What to Do If You Can’t Download ScratchJr Projects

Please check the following three points:
1. Is Google Drive open?
2. Is Google Drive installed?

Is ScratchJr running?
※To check if Google Drive and ScratchJr are running, quickly press the iPad home button twice. If you see both the Google Drive and ScratchJr screens as shown in the image below, both apps are running.
